北京联合大学应用文理学院是北京市市属普通高等院校，由原北京大学分校和原中国人民大学分校合并而成。于1978年建校，是一所以培养本科生为主，包含文学、理学、历史学、经济学、法学、管理学等学科门类的多学科综合性院校市属全日制。我院以发展应用科学、培养应用性专门人才为办学宗旨。我院生物系拥有北京市的重点建设学科－食品科学和营养学，拥有北京市重点实验室"生物活性物质与功能食品实验室"。
